Position Description
Working Title: CrossFit Coach
Range of Possible Scheduled Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 2 hours per day, 5am and 6am classes, and potential for 1:1 PT coaching for onramp.
*Willing to cover classes when needed
Minimum Qualifications Needed:
- Experience and knowledge of fitness equipment and CrossFit Methodology
- Highly self-motivated
- Enjoys working with people
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities We Look For:
- One to four years of CrossFit or Functional Fitness coaching experience necessary
- One to four years of CrossFit or Functional Fitness training as an athlete
General Responsibilities:
The coach reports to the CFN management staff and shall have the primary responsibilities of supervision and cleaning fitness activity areas. The preferred candidate must also be able and willing to attend all mandatory meetings.
Specific Duties:
- Responsible in teaching and coaching Olympic Weightlifting, gymnastics movements, Strongman movements and high intensity interval training.
- Responsible to assist members in developing personal fitness goals and serve as a liaison to members.
- Responsible to coach classes per Coaching Schedule and within established guidelines.
- Responsible to develop warm up as needed sequence of class to prepare member for prescribed strength and conditioning training.
- Responsible to ensure that all members get a great experience through promoting a very encouraging, warm and inclusive environment.
- Responsible to prepare for each coaching session ensuring correct coaching points for each movement and all scaled options for prescribed movements.
- Responsible to observe and correct members form as needed; never allow a member to continue a movement with incorrect form even if in the middle of a workout.
- Responsible to attend mandatory coaching meetings.
- Responsible to participate in the development of all programming.
- Responsible to participate in development of Fundamentals Class Curriculum and future modifications.
- Responsible to maintain orderliness and cleanliness of gym; follow established processes of closing/opening gym.
- Communicate recommendations to Owner/General Manager.
- Responsible to develop and maintain positive relationships with all coaches and members.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
