Job Summary:
The Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) assists providers and nurses with patient care, initiates patient flow, maintains the environmental areas of the clinic and examination rooms and assists with telephoning and filing.

Qualifications
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists patients to exam rooms
- Obtains vital signs
- Obtains, evaluates and records patient history as per protocols
- Performs CLIA-waived tests
- Collects and process specimens
- Complies with established risk management and safety procedures
- Complies with quality assurance practices
- Performs electrocardiography and respiratory testing
- Performs standard precautions, including hand washing and disposal of bio- hazardous materials
- Receives, organizes, prioritizes, stores and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology.
- Makes appointments and schedules referrals as directed
- Makes copies and faxes documents as requested
- Makes correct entries in patient charts and checks appointment dates
- Manages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and members of the healthcare team in order to make decisions about treatment and attain health goals.
- Performs quality assurance on glucometers
- Restocks and straightens exam rooms
- Performs other duties of a CNA as required

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certified
- Training verification as a CNA required
- Two (2) years of successful experience in a clinical setting preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to deliver medical services and use equipment.
- Ability to work in conditions that include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissues, contagious diseases and/or other potentially hazardous materials
- Fine motor coordination sufficient to perform manipulative skills
- Moderate physical exertion including frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying moderately heavy loads (up to 25 lbs.)
