Job Position – Video Editor/Videographer
(Position Description - full-time, salaried, exempt, administrative, and at-will)
Location – Central
General Scope of Position
This position is a full-time video producer who is interested in helping people find and follow Jesus through digital content. The Video Editor/Videographer works cross-ministry and cross-program to develop and curate content including but not limited to sermons, bible studies, podcasts, devotionals, short form stories, and teaching. This position requires managing several projects at once while maintaining weekly programming responsibilities for Crossings. Examples of projects include but are not limited to: fast turn-around on short term content including sermon intro videos, bumpers, short features, interviews, highlight videos, event capture, Bible Study series, multi episode teaching series, etc.
Typical work hours will be 40 hours per week. Actual days and hours of work are subject to department and Church needs, which may occasionally require schedule flexibility and days and hours beyond or different from a typical work week. This will include Sunday mornings.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to Crossings Community Church (CCC or Crossings) Pastor, Creative Director/Video Ministries and will work collaboratively and interact regularly with various vendors, CCC staff and volunteers across the various departments and ministries, venues, and campuses, as well with partners of Crossings to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings’ and its ministries.
Responsibilities/Duties
Video Production for Crossings Video Team:
- Assist in the production of videos for all worship services
- Assist in the production of select videos for Location ministry support as requested and approved by the Pastor, Digital Discipleship and in collaboration with the Pastor, Creative Director Video Ministries

Produce select videos for ministry support, assisting in pre-production and post-production Working Collaboratively with the Manager, Video Production
- Assist in review of videos for video team
- Assist/Consult on master color grading for video team
- Provide consultation on stories, looks, and direction of video projects

Produce videos for Digital Projects for Multiple Ministry Efforts
- Assist in planning video shoots and Organize and back up content for all videos
- Edit graphics, color grade, intro/outro, and text emphasis for a consistent look and feel set by Crossings Video Team
- Communicate with audio engineers and contractors for proper mixing and mastering of audio for different mediums
- Prepare videos for upload to different platforms, including but not limited to Vimeo, YouTube, Podcast hosting sites, and in-person viewing (Edit Share/Media Share/Current Deliverables)
- Produce podcasts as needed
- Must be willing to work during Church hours including some Wednesday nights and Sunday Mornings as well as special events.

Travel as necessary
- Prepare packing list for remote production in challenging and time-sensitive environments
- Assist in maximizing efficiency of itinerary
- Manage production while remote, including data retention and storage
Cross-Ministry Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church
- Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation
- Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested
- Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of Crossings’ ministries
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exhibit a passion to walk with people in their faith development.
- Be a proven and effective leader in the areas of responsibility attached to this position.
- A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Current skill set and knowledge of latest video editing software and internal databases.
- Preferred editing ability in Premier/Resolve.
- Proficient in full video production from planning, filming, editing, final deliverable.
Physical & Other Requirements for Position
- Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile); and be able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. parcels for distances of up to 500 feet.
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Possess a current unrestricted driver’s license.
- This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position had the responsibility of his/her own safety and the safety of others including minors.

Education and Experience
- Previous experience of 5 years is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or real-life work equivalent.
