Job Summary
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. This position involves working closely with clients to provide guidance, support, and resources necessary for their rehabilitation and recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household management.
• Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions that promote social skills, coping strategies, and emotional regulation.
• Monitor client progress and document changes in behavior or mood to report to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Encourage participation in community activities and support clients in building social networks.
• Educate clients about mental health resources and available support services.

Requirements

Qualifications require one of the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree
• An Associate Degree and one year work experience in mental health direct services
• A High School diploma or GED and 2 years work experience in Human Services that must include 1 year of mental health direct service
• a CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner)

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
