Our Client:
Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer of cutting-edge solar optimization solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process/Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is a hands-on, senior role that will play a critical part in bridging the gap between our client's Colorado-based engineering team and their contract manufacturing partners.
Role Overview:
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the optimization of solar energy technology by ensuring seamless manufacturing processes and maintaining exceptional quality standards. You will be the key liaison between our client's engineering and manufacturing teams, driving efficiency and excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Process Engineering: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. This includes setting up new manufacturing lines.
- Manufacturing Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the Colorado engineering team and the contract manufacturer, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Quality Engineering: Establish and maintain robust quality control procedures, conduct quality audits, and address any manufacturing-related quality issues.
- Manufacturing Engineering: Provide technical expertise and support to the manufacturing team, troubleshoot production problems, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports on process performance, quality metrics, and manufacturing activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Contract Manufacturer Interface: Manage the relationship with the overseas contract manufacturer, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Electronics Experience: Apply your knowledge of electronics manufacturing to optimize production processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a process, quality, or manufacturing engineering role, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams1 and international partners.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to attend the Fort Collins office a minimum of two times per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the solar energy industry, while not required, is a plus.
