CrossLife Technologies is a San Diego based Point of Care Diagnostics company who develop and commercialize novel diagnostics based on innovative nucleic acid technologies for many diseases. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist – Protein Structure (full-time) position.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform computational molecular design and modeling to inform and accelerate
the design and development of high quality, differentiated therapeutics
· Lead and support our internal, early portfolio of RNA, protein, gene and cancer
therapy programs.
· Contribute and participate in internal and external presentations, peer-reviewed
manuscripts and conference proceedings.
Qualification:
· PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Computer
Science, Structural Biology, Biophysics, Material Science, or other related
quantitative field is required.
· Experience in applied AI/ML or molecular modeling in drug discovery and
development including protein library design and selection is required.
· Experience with structural modeling of Protein-small molecules, protein–protein,
protein-DNA and protein-RNA interactions, protein and RNA folding is preferred.
· Experience in the development, evaluation and application of emerging AI/ML
methods (LMs, diffusion models, etc) for the design and optimization of RNA or
proteins is preferred.
· Experience using one of the following: Schrodinger, FoldX, Rosetta, Discovery
Studio, MOE, GROMACS, NAMD, or other molecular dynamics simulation
software, is required.
· Demonstrated ability to evaluate and deploy computational tools, algorithms and
platforms using internal and external datasets and benchmarks is required.
· Experience in the evaluation, design, development and deployment of molecular
models, algorithms and platforms across the enterprise in a cloud computing
environment (AWS, Azure, Google) is preferred.
· Hands-on experience in high performance scientific computing, software
engineering, deployment and scaling to the enterprise is required.
· Self-motivated individual, with experience working independently and as part of a
larger interdisciplinary team is required.
· Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills and desire for
continuous learning and the ability to identify, evaluate and implement emerging
algorithms and models are required.
· Has a working knowledge of Biosimilar development ideally and must have an in-
depth knowledge of analytical techniques used for antibody/protein analysis
· Characterization of therapeutic proteins (recombinant proteins expressed in
eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells)
· Independent and thorough work on scientific projects and optimization of
existing methods (independent literature research, planning and execution of
experiments, evaluation and documentation of results)
