JOB DESCRIPTION
**PART TIME AND FULL TIME POSITIONS
The lead teacher ensures the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, physical, and educational needs. The lead teacher utilizes best developmentally appropriate practice methods at all times. They are a positive role model for all care giving staff and children. Furthermore, they are customer service orientated and professional.
DUTIES
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development.
- Assist children with activities and daily life (restroom use, diapering, hand washing)
- Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.
- Approach parents daily with them about their child.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality
- care and friendly service.
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, clutter-free, and
- safe for all children.
- Supervise teacher assistants in the classroom and ensure they are following program
- policy and customer service expectations.
- Train any teacher assistants in the classroom and direct them as to what duties need
- to be carried out throughout the day.
- Plan daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children.
- Conduct child assessments and facilitate parent-teacher conferences.
- Attend and engage in occasional parent participation events and other events that
- may be on nights and/or weekend-ends.
- Prepare monthly parent newsletters and weekly lesson plans.
- Be responsible for daily recording of activities pertaining to eating, sleeping, and
- diaper changing.
- Maintain a professional self image and project the value of the organization at all
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent education
- Have completed or able to enroll in the required ECE courses to be a qualified teacher.
- Be CPR, First Aid, Health/Safety, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified.
- Complete a TB test and physical.
- Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children alone in one
- Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences.
- Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities.
- Willing to fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the Church’s educational philosophy
- Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as evidence of a growing Christ-centered life (Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 5:18-21)
- Be teachable and faithful in learning from and following those in authority over him/her and fully supporting the vision of Crossline Church.
- Fulfill the duties required of Crossline Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.

SPECIAL SKILLS NEEDED
- Be able to knee, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
LINES OF SUPERVISION
- Lead teachers report directly to the director/assistant director with questions or concerns regarding the children or center policy.
Salary : $20
