Purpose of This Role
The Crossline Kids Coordinator supports the Family Ministry Director in leading the spiritual formation of children (Birth through 5th grade). This role includes overseeing Sunday morning programs and assisting with special Family Ministry major events and community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Discipleship & Curriculum
- Align curriculum with Crossline’s mission and values.
- Ensure curriculum materials and supplies are organized and available for Sunday morning classes
- Administrate key milestone classes (child dedication, baptism, etc.): scheduling and ensuring materials are organized, up-to-date and prepared.
- Implement a plan for kids to learn foundational faith principles.
Sunday Kids Ministry
- Oversee Sunday classes for age groups (Birth-5th grade).
- Ensure a fun, safe, and spiritually rich environment.
- Lead the check-in process and welcome new families.
- Provide resources for volunteers, including lesson plans and materials.
- Ensure child safety policies are upheld, and classrooms are set up properly.
- Ensure all classrooms have adequate volunteer coverage, stepping in to serve only as a last resort after all other solutions have been explored.
Volunteer Development
- Support Director in recruiting and training efforts of new volunteers.
- Effectively onboard new volunteers.
- Empower a team of dedicated volunteers providing needed resources and support.
- Manage volunteer scheduling through Planning Center.
- Ensure all volunteers complete background checks and safety training.
- Administrate and support Director with two annual volunteer training courses.
- Consistently express gratitude and appreciation to volunteers through thoughtful recognition, encouragement, and meaningful gestures to foster a positive and engaged team.
Major Events & Outreach Support
- Assist in large-scale family events (Fall Fest, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.).
- Administrate and support Director with school partnerships and community organizations to expand outreach.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in children's ministry, education, or leadership is highly valued.
- 2 years of experience in kids’ ministry, education, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience teaching children and understanding child development a plus.
- Proven ability to recruit and lead volunteer teams in a ministry or non-profit setting is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Highly organized and able to create efficient systems.
- Relational, fun, engaging, and a strong communicator (verbal & written).
- A detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced church environment.
- A team player with a collaborative, servant-hearted spirit.
- Ability to problem solve
- Comfortable and competent with technology and software programs, such as: Planning Center (or equivalent), Microsoft Teams (or equivalent), Bluetooth Speakers, etc. And/or possess a willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements: This role involves physical activity in a dynamic environment with young children. Candidates should be comfortable engaging in the following activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Standing and Walking – Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
- Lifting and Carrying – Lifting children (infants/toddlers), supplies, or equipment, typically up to 40-50 lbs.
- Bending and Kneeling – Frequently bending, crouching, or kneeling to interact at a child’s level.
- Sitting on the Floor – Engaging with children in play, reading, or activities at their level.
- Reaching and Stretching – Reaching overhead for supplies, toys, or assisting children.
