Music Teacher - Anderson Academy Charter School
Location : Winston-Salem, NC, on-site
Schedule : 10 month position, 1st shift Monday - Friday, with some weekend / evening hours depending upon events / program needs

Hiring Range : $46,000 to $50,000 annually

Ongoing TrainingEducation / Experience / Licensure :
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related fieldValid North Carolina teaching license in the appropriate grade levels and subject area preferredExperience working with students in K-12 settings is preferredExperience with trauma-informed practices preferredA relevant combination of education and experience may be consideredSkills and Competencies

As a Music Teacher, your responsibilities will include :
Developing and delivering engaging music lesson plans that align with Anderson Academy's mission and state educational standards.Teaching music theory, performance, and appreciation to students of various skill levels.Instructing vocal and / or instrumental music, depending on your expertise and the school's needs.Introducing students to diverse musical genres and cultural influences to broaden their appreciation of music.Organizing and directing student performances, including concerts, recitals, and competitions.Assessing student progress through regular evaluations and maintaining accurate records.Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and discipline.Maintaining musical instruments and classroom materials to ensure longevity and proper use.Collaborating with other teachers and staff to integrate music into a well-rounded educational experience.Communicating effectively with parents, students, and colleagues to support student growth.Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students, including those with learning differences.Participating in professional development to stay up to date on best practices in music education.Supporting extracurricular activities, committees, and school events to enrich the school community.Ensuring compliance with school and state regulations while upholding Anderson Academy's mission and values.Other duties as assigned.Note : This job ad is a summary of the position and its requirements.
