About CrossOver Healthcare Ministry

CrossOver Healthcare Ministry provides compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the uninsured and medically underserved in our local community through the operation of two medical clinics: one in the City of Richmond and one in Henrico County. CrossOver is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers comprehensive healthcare services to its patients. We do not receive direct federal funding or have access to federally funded prescription drug programs. CrossOver relies on the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners to sustain our mission.

At CrossOver Healthcare Ministry, we believe that healthcare is foundational. When a person is not healthy, they may have difficulty maintaining employment, taking care of their family, and living a fulfilling life. Through our two healthcare clinics, we serve over 6,600 low-income, uninsured and Medicaid patients each year, providing primary and specialty care, chronic disease management, medication and medications management, dental, eye care, pediatrics, mental health counseling, women’s health & OB/GYN, HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment, case management, and health education We don't turn away patients based on inability to pay and rely on volunteers and philanthropic support to provide services. For over 40 years, CrossOver has worked to create a healthy, vibrant community where every person is restored by the compassionate, healing love of God.

Position/Title: Maternal and Child Health Operations Manager

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Supervisor: Direct of Clinical Operations

Salary: $47,840 - $52,000 Annually

Position Summary: The M*aternal and Chi*ld Health Operations Manager (MACHI) will oversee clinical operations for the Maternal and Child Health Clinic at CrossOver. This clinic provides obstetric care to over 500 patients each year and serves over 1,000 children each year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Program planning and development:

o Coordinate MACHI events: immunization events, school physical events, OB resource fairs.

o Develop educational curriculum, including classes, on key topics for OB and Pediatrics.

· Ensure that the MACHI clinic provides excellent customer service to clients:

o Develop policies, protocols, guidelines and training materials to ensure efficient, quality daily operations. Maintain up to date policy procedure and protocol manuals that are accessible to all staff.

o Onboard and train new employees and volunteers.

o Manage insurance verification process.

o Improve patient appointment compliance: oversee appointment reminder process and follow up on repeated no-shows.

o Ensure that all patient referrals are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

o Oversee the Medicaid enrollment and Bill Counseling program.

o Ensure that Social Determinants of Health are being addressed, and resources are provided as needed.

o Manage the Dental integration project, integrating oral health education and fluoride into the MACHI clinic.

· Volunteer Management:

o Manage provider schedules and ensure that all available appointment slots are filled.

o Manage administrative volunteer schedules: care coordinators, case management, interpreters, scribes.

· Serve as technology lead for clinic:

o Lead for eClinicalWorks - Maintain proficiency in eClinical. Troubleshoot eCW issues and submit help tickets as necessary.

o Maintain laptop and printer inventory. Notify the Tech team when hardware is malfunctioning.

· External Affairs/Fundraising

o Increase Community Collaboration and presence by representing CrossOver at community meetings/taskforces.

o Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to provide care or resources for CrossOver clients.

o Partner with the development team to create marketing materials and patient documents.

o Communicate achievements, including patient stories, to development for collateral materials.

· Directly supervise the following employees:

o MACHI Care Coordinators

o Community Health Worker

o Medicaid Enrollment Worker

o MACHI Dental Care Coordinator

Hours: 40-45 hours per week. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Ability to supervise and train staff and volunteers, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Ability to clearly communicate information to patients, employees, volunteers and/or the general public.
• Commitment to patient centered, culturally competent and evidence-based care.
• Ability to utilize volunteers and staff to meet goals
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Dedicated to the mission of CrossOver Healthcare Ministry
• Bilingual Spanish / English strongly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong computer skills, experience with an electronic health record preferred
• Commitment to providing culturally sensitive care and ability to work with different ethnic groups, especially African American, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
