What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading the Admissions Journey: Serve as the primary contact for prospective families, guiding them smoothly through the application process and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Creating Memorable First Impressions: Conduct engaging school tours, open houses, and informational sessions that highlight our accelerated learning model and focus on life skills.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor admissions metrics using HubSpot and SIS, analyze trends, and provide insights to leadership for strategic outreach planning.
  • Enhancing Our Processes: Keep admissions FAQs and SOPs updated to ensure clarity and consistency in all interactions.
  • Fostering Strong Relationships: Engage with prospective families empathetically, ensuring their admissions experience is both smooth and memorable.

  • Dealing with Slow Bureaucracy: You'll have the power to make quick decisions and enhance the admissions process without bureaucratic hurdles.
  • Managing a Large Team: This role focuses on leading the admissions process independently, without overseeing a large administrative staff.
  • Adhering to Rigid Scripts: Each family's journey is unique, allowing for personalized and unscripted interactions.
  • Following Outdated Methods: You'll have the freedom to innovate and refine admissions strategies based on feedback and outcomes.

Head Of Admissions Key Responsibilities

Drive enrollment growth by delivering a personalized, high-touch admissions experience that converts interest into committed families.

Basic Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing comprehensive admissions or enrollment processes in competitive academic settings, with a history of increasing enrollment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional presence that inspires confidence in various audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple families, campuses, and deadlines concurrently.
  • Proficient in CRM and SIS systems (e.g., HubSpot, Veracross) with a focus on maintaining accurate data records.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-touch, client-facing services.
  • Must reside in Austin, TX, or be willing to relocate, with the ability to travel up to 20% across the U.S.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience in private school admissions, especially with affluent families.
  • Background in sales or marketing, emphasizing storytelling and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of mastery-based or alternative education models.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
