Part-time Nursery & Childcare Worker

Qualifying Characteristics : The employee must be a Christian with an authentic personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who agrees to the Crosspoint belief statements and core values. In addition, the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the Crosspoint community-at-large, including staff, parents, and children is crucial to this role.Duties / Responsibilities : Cares for and attends to the needs of children at the facility including dressing, feeding, and monitoring their activities and playtime.Responsible for ensuring a safe and fun environment for young children. Cleans and sanitizes toys, furniture, and play equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills / Abilities :  Excellent communication skills with parents, teachers, and other childcare workers.Ability to be patient and understanding when working with children and interacting with parents.Knowledge of childcare principles and procedures.Ability to relate to children and make the childcare facility an enjoyable atmosphere.Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least one year of related experience preferred.Certification in first aid and CPR preferred; must be maintained by obtaining recertification as necessary.Must pass criminal background check.Physical Requirements :  Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.Compensation :  Pay range : $11-$12 per hour.Benefit category : PT (less than 10 hours per week), 10 month, benefit ineligibleThe information contained in the job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position.
