We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Interventionist to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Assess individual student needs through observations and assessments to develop effective intervention plans.
- Implement targeted instructional strategies and interventions in the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate intervention strategies into lesson planning and classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust interventions as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Provide support in the use of learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions, including documentation for meetings with parents and staff.
- Facilitate small group or one-on-one sessions focused on specific skills or concepts.
- Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and suggest strategies for support at home.
- Stay informed about current best practices in childhood education, including Montessori methods and other educational frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of reading development principles and effective intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with lesson planning techniques that accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Experience using learning technology to support educational goals is highly desirable.
- Excellent proofreading skills for creating clear documentation of student progress and intervention plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators while maintaining a focus on individual student needs.
- A compassionate approach towards children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching.
