What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Crossroads Animal Hospital?
Crossroads Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time experienced Veterinary Assistant to our motivated and committed small-animal medical team. We are located at the Spring Creek Business Park in Zion Crossroads, VA. CRAH is a state of the art full service animal hospital caring for cats and dogs for routine wellness care, dentistry, surgery, skin/ear/eye issues, laser treatments, and nutrition. All of our staff is Fear Free Certified and we take pride in making our patients experience as stress free as possible! Hospital hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am-6:00pm.
Tasks include animal handling with restraint, assisting Doctors and LVTs with appointments and surgeries, customer service, and client education. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and positive individual. You must be able to lift in excess of 40lbs, have excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, and a strong work ethic.
