Medical Biller Job Qualifications:
- Must live near the facility, this is not a remote position.
- Must have knowledge of Medical Eligibility and Billing.
- Familiarity with Medicaid in a long term care environment is a plus.
- 3 years of working in a healthcare environment.
Medical Biller Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Administrator, the Medical Biller manages all business functions and personnel including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, resident trust funds and other assigned duties. The Medical Biller ensures the financial systems are accurate, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices and government regulations.
Medical Biller Job Responsibilities:
- Medical Biller in a Long-Term Care Facility
- This candidate will foster a cooperative team approach throughout the company and their work.
- They will carry out duties and responsibilities for Accounts Receivable functions including:
- Financial payment verifications (Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance) and doing daily Census
- Medicaid billing and follow up, Handle Medicaid Redeterminations and other Medicaid paperwork requests.
- Patient billing, deposits, and follow up for Private R&B and Personal Liability
- Meet with residents and families to complete paperwork as needed.
