Housekeeper

Northbrook Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing compassionate care to our residents. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, clean, and safe environment for our residents and staff. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented part-time Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain a clean and comfortable living space for our residents.

Position Overview:

As a Housekeeper at Northbrook Health and Rehab, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Your role will contribute directly to the comfort and well-being of our residents and staff. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, hallways, restrooms, and other facility areas.
• Ensure cleanliness of floors, windows, and furniture by dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Distribute clean linens and towels to residents’ rooms.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols at all times.
• Respond to requests from residents and staff for cleaning services as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be willing to undergo the Illinois Department of Public Health background check process
