Description
The Purple Cow is seeking a Driver with a current, valid license to drive a 15 ft box truck to pick up donations. The ideal candidate is a professional who has a valid drivers license and who can frequently lift furniture items. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and a fast-paced environment. The Driver will fill in the as a Donations associate as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a vehicle safely.
- Be on time.
- Pick up and drop off donations in a safe manner
- Observe all traffic laws.
- Observe a maxim speed limit.
- Clearly communicate with other drivers, employees and customers.
- Report to work on time.
- Treat customers with courtesy and respect.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- All donators must be offered a tax receipt
- Filling out the tax receipt
- Associate is responsible for writing the date on the tax receipt
- iDonators must fill out their name and address
- An estimated total of 10%-20% of original value must be written and itemized at the bottom of the receipt before the donator leaves No one is allowed to leave with a blank receipt to return at a later date

- Associate is responsible for signing the bottom of the receipt
- If estimated total is higher than $500, associate must urge donator to return with an itemized list for the IRS
- Once the receipt has been completely filled out, the donator takes the white copy of the receipt. The associate keeps the yellow copy of the receipt for store records
- Associate is responsible for moving all furniture/heavy objects on the sales floor
- Associate is responsible for responding to calls for assistance from other associates
- Associate is responsible for completing the Donation Area Checklist by the end of the work day. The checklist will be reviewed the following morning by a manager.
- Once all tasks have been completed, associate must consult with a manager for the next task
