Description
The Quality and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the compliance oversight for CCI and implementation of the agency’s Performance Management and Evaluation efforts. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator works in conjunction with CCI’s teams and programs to identify, respond to, and establish processes for monitoring agency-wide quality, compliance and risks. Compliance oversight includes certain authority to ensure compliance when required. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator also fulfils these responsibilities for CCI’s subsidiary, Corsica River Mental Health Services (CRMHS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manage CCI’s and CRMHS’ Performance Management and Measurement Plan, including evaluation of performance.
- Coordinate and conduct a work plan of internal audits to identify and address deficits and ensure quality and compliance with all applicable standards.
- Inform, facilitate, and ensure follow-up on designated areas of compliance, including timely investigations of reports, holding individuals accountable when compliance issues warrant and reporting to the Board of Directors, as necessary.
- Serve as “Privacy Officer” for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), including training new staff on HIPAA standards and facilitating on-going HIPAA trainings, as needed.
- Manage the review and revision of policies, procedures and forms to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
- Submit and monitor licensing and other necessary applications.
- Assume responsibility for a healthy and safe environment.
Additional Duties:
- Maintain familiarity with policies, procedures, systems, and general operations.
- Maintain knowledge of current ethical and accreditation standards, regulations, and laws pertaining to all positions and programs monitored under CCI’s Compliance Plan.
- Participate on CCI’s Leadership Team.
- Schedule annual and interim Risk Assessments and compile results for review and remediation.
- Monitor designated areas of compliance through evaluation of program reports and data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Complete and present the annual Compliance Report.
- Train the Leadership team annually on standards being reviewed.
- Support programs when external audits and site reviews occur.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Program Improvement Plans (PIPs), as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of CCI’s and CRMHS’ Training Plan to assess compliance with all applicable standards, define training needs, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS required. Prefer 2 years positively referenced administrative and psychiatric rehabilitation, or related experience

- Knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Mental health and/or psychiatric rehabilitation experience sufficient to understand agency and program needs.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to establish productive working relationships.
- Read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with others and maintain documentation.
- Computer skills sufficient to enter and manage data and develop reports.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Pass the agency’s background check.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to support insurability by the agency’s insurance carrier.
- Work related use of a vehicle carrying minimum of 100/300/50 liability insurance
