Under the primary supervision of the Clinical Manager and with supervision input from Behavior Therapist, the Behavior Therapist’s (BT’s) primary duty is to teach new skills to clients at Crossroads Learning Center. The BT provides instruction to clients through the implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The BT is responsible for helping clients achieve their goals and objectives outlined in their Treatment Plan. The BT is also serves as the Case Manager for 1 to 2 clients and is responsible for helping design and modify curriculum, learning materials, and behavior programs.
Clinical Responsibilities :
- Provides one-to-one instruction for clients according to program design.
- Leads small group instruction.
- Implements instructional programs and behavior management procedures according to client specific management guidelines, behavior intervention plan, reinforcement system guidelines, and / or as directed by the supervisor.
- Records program data, behavior data, and other daily data as specified in the program or as prescribed by case supervisor.
- Completes all required forms and end-of-session responsibilities (e.g., home logs, session notes, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Creates and maintains Case Client’s programming and learning materials.
- Maintains Case Client’s Electronic files.
- Updates Behavior Plan as assigned by Clinical Manager.
- Constructs Monthly Client Meeting Form per protocol.
- Makes curriculum and material changes within one week of clinics, Monthly Client Meetings, and supervision meetings.
- Monitors client progress and alerts the Clinical Manager of changes in trends or stagnant progress.
- Updates other Behavior Therapists on Case Client’s progress and updates to programming.
- Assists in the preparation of progress reports and evaluations.
- Helps develop bi-annual goals.
