What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Crossroads Courier?
Pay: $22-25/hr
Schedule: 6:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday

Crossroads Courier is on the lookout for a dedicated Dispatcher to play a key role in managing job orders and supporting our network of independent driver contractors. You'll be the vital link between customer requests and flawless delivery execution—ensuring we exceed expectations every step of the way.
What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver top-notch customer service over phone and email to both internal and external stakeholders.

Dispatch job orders to drivers—plan, assign, and prioritize jobs for optimal route efficiency.

Communicate special delivery instructions, routing details, and respond to driver inquiries.

Apply ancillary charges (like van fees or waiting time) to job orders when applicable.

Post and manage routes and recurring jobs in the CXT system, ensuring accuracy at all times.

Activate or deactivate drivers in the system as needed.

Finalize daily route coverage reports for managerial review and reassign jobs where necessary.

Escalate driver or customer issues to Driver Support and the Operations Manager.

Enter job order information into the system with precision and attention to detail.

From time to time, you will jump in to make deliveries, ensuring our customers get their packages right when they need them

What You Bring to the Table:

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 2 years in customer service or logistics (dispatching experience is a big plus!).

Strong Communication Skills: Confident, clear, and professional in both written and verbal interactions.

Organized & Adaptable: Able to multitask and shift priorities in a high-energy, fast-moving environment.

Detail-Oriented: Accuracy and follow-through are second nature to you.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and dispatch/scheduling software.
- Team Player with Flexibility: Ready to jump in with a positive attitude and help when and where it’s needed most—even if that means some overtime.
