Company Summary: Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women, and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs.
Due to federal contracts the following items are prohibited: Medical/Recreational marijuana, current parole, or probation.
Job Summary: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties.

Essential Functions:
· Create client charts in EMR including collecting demographic information.
· Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs.
· Always maintain coverage at reception workstation.
· Manage and maintain all incoming faxes and scan into EMR as needed.
· Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
· Documents all client interactions in EMR.
· Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
· Check patients in and out of appointments.
· Assist clients with scheduling transportation for clinic services.
· Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
· Check insurance eligibility for appointments scheduled for clients.
· Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability.
· Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments per provider request.
· Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
· Perform other duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
· Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
· Current and annual negative TB Test.
· Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, preferred.
· Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred.
· Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Education & Experience:
· Minimum of High school diploma/GED required.
· 1 years’ experience of customer service in a medical office setting.
· Some experience with EMR systems.
· Experience with computer and with Microsoft Office products.
Work Environment:
· Fast paced behavioral health setting.
· Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor work may be requested.
Physical Demands:
· While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

· Valid AZ Driver’s License.
· May include travel between sites and other locations.
· Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
