Company Summary: Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women, and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs.

Job Summary: Security will oversee the property and asset protection for Crossroads, from the protection of people and staff to the prevention of theft and inventory loss. Will observe and report to the proper supervisor and/or authorities any criminal, illegal or vandal activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None
Essential Functions:
· Conduct foot patrol throughout a shift of entire property not setting any pattern.
· Continually check areas of known illegal activity such as drug use.
· Will immediately remove yourself from any dangerous situation and get to a safe place to be able to observe and to call authorities.
· Respectfully and firmly request individuals to leave the property when required.
· Will escort individuals as requested by employees to keep everyone safe and where they need to go.
· Maintain a visible presence to all to help prevent illegal activities.
· Always maintain composure and never escalate a situation.
· Will never engage with an erratic or violent person.
· Be always kind and helpful. Putting respect first as a means of dealing with all situations.
· Provide a daily shift log of times and activities and fill out incident reports as instructed.
· Provide janitorial and maintenance duties when needed.
· Maintain inter-office privacy and confidentiality.
· Perform other duties, as described.
Qualifications:
· Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
· Current and annual negative TB Test.
· Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, preferred.
· Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred.
· Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
· DPS Security Guard Card, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Demonstrated strong situational judgment skills.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Education & Experience:
· Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
· 1-year related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience working as a security officer or other security-related job.
Work Environment:
· Fast paced behavioral health setting.
· Primarily outdoors, however, some indoor work may be requested.
Physical Demands:
· While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Shift Requirements:
· Days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel:
· Valid AZ Driver’s License.
· May include travel between sites and other locations.
· Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
