Rotating 12-Hour Shift Schedule
In this position, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks—from basic part replacements and routine inspections to equipment refurbishment and advanced troubleshooting. Your expertise in mechanical systems will directly support production efficiency and overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Refurbishment:
Conduct regular inspections, alignments, balancing, parts replacements, installations, and refurbishments on various types of equipment.
Work closely with production teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of operating parameters, ensuring maintenance interventions are both appropriate and effective.
Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization:
Diagnose equipment issues and perform advanced troubleshooting to optimize machine performance.
Apply your in-depth understanding of equipment operating principles to enhance functionality and minimize downtime.
Fabrication & Joining Activities:
Execute a variety of joining and fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
Weld carbon steel using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), as well as stainless steel using the SMAW process.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; a GED certificate along with industrial welding and/or millwright experience is acceptable.
Proven experience in industrial maintenance, particularly within a millwright or mechanical repair context.
Safety & Aptitude:
Must successfully pass a Safety Screen to demonstrate the ability to safely perform the duties associated with this role.
Must pass a Mechanical Aptitude test to validate technical skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and crawling.
Essential Skills
Technical Proficiencies:
Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities and familiarity with welding setups for production.
Experience performing machine safety inspections, project management, and heavy equipment repair.
Proficient in motor replacement, repair, and maintenance.
Equipment Knowledge:
Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Experience with conveyor systems and other related industrial equipment.
Salary info:
$32 - $33 / hr
