This role requires hands-on experience with machinery, quality control procedures, and troubleshooting production issues. The ideal candidate will also assist in training new team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery to maximize efficiency and output.
- Analyze and resolve moderate production issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections and address deviations to ensure product consistency.
- Perform first-piece inspections and communicate necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address any deviations from specifications.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline production processes.
- Train and mentor new operators on equipment, safety protocols, and production standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and assist in performance evaluations.
- Adapt to shifting production priorities, schedules, and operational demands.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in operating production equipment and troubleshooting machinery.
- Experience in quality control and issue resolution.
Preferred:
- Technical training or certification in manufacturing-related fields.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Core hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility required based on business needs).
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing setting.
- Repetitive hand movements may be required for operating machinery and using a computer.
Salary info:
$16 - $19 / hr
