Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated paralegal with 3–5 years of experience in personal injury law to join our small, dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception to resolution, providing significant responsibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on our clients' lives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Intake and Communication: Interviewing clients to gather details about their injuries, accident, and medical treatment. Following up with client to keep them updated on case progress, how they are doing, and address any concerns they may have.
Case Management: Oversee all aspects of personal injury cases, including client interviews, gathering and analyzing information, and maintaining detailed case files.
Legal Research and Documentation: Conduct legal research, prepare and file legal documents such as motions and pleadings, and assist attorneys in trial preparation.
Client Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other parties; educate clients on case progression and set appropriate expectations.
Coordination of Legal Activities: Schedule depositions; ensure all deadlines are met and manage related logistics.
- 3–5 years as a paralegal in personal injury law, with a strong understanding of Louisiana personal injury statutes and procedures.
- Excellent organizational abilities, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel.
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex case files and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in legal documents and case information.
- Knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other paralegals.
