Job Details
Position Overview:
Provide nursing care to students in the Health Center according to standing orders and utilize the nursing process for both acute and chronic conditions.
Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (30 minute lunch)
Work Schedule: M/T/W/Th/F as needed
Travel Requirements: None
Essential Job Functions:

Communicate with parents regarding injuries, illnesses, other visits to the nurse as needed

Administer daily and as needed and prescribed medications (inhalers, antibiotics, etc…)

Communicate with administrators regarding student health/emotional concerns
Additional Responsibilities:

Assist in collection of immunization, Medication Authorization, and other medical forms necessary for attendance

Provide nursing care as needed to School Events (ie. Graduation, Alley Party, etc.)
Required Qualifications:

Current CA RN or LVN license
-
Experience as a school nurse, or pediatrics in a physician or hospital setting.

Proficient computer and word processing/Excel skills
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 40lbs

Must be able to run in the event of an emergency
