Alternative School Science Teacher
Crossroads School (crossroadslongmont.org) is an innovative, alternative, Christian faith-based 6th-12th grade program in Longmont. We are seeking a full-teacher (mostly science, with other responsibilities dependent on skills and interests) for the 2025-26 school year--beginning August 4, 2025. Must have a passion for and experience with at-risk youth, and be willing to invest in relationship with them. Ideal candidate is not afraid of hard work, individualized lesson planning, coaching individual students, and dealing with behavioral challenges. This is a unique opportunity to change lives forever and help students, who otherwise likely would not graduate, to achieve that all-important goal. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
--Bachelor's degree
--Experience with at-risk youth
--Ability to connect relationally with adolescents
--Passion for making a difference in the lives of at-risk kids
--Willingness and ability to teach creatively for a variety of ability levels
--Willingness and ability to work closely in a team environment
--Ability to coach students in an individualized program
--Desire to work in a Christian faith-based private school
