The custodian assists the maintenance supervisor by performing assigned maintenance duties.
All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Regularly sweeps, mops, dusts, and vacuums residential units, administration offices, hallways, stairs, offices, and restrooms, including conference rooms and break rooms.
Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks; mows lawns, trims hedges, remove weeds, rakes, and disposes of leaves, etc.
Performs minor and routine painting and other needed maintenance.
Helps in remodeling all facilities.
Notifies supervisor of needed repairs/replacements to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
Coordinates with supervisor supply ordering and restocking.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Prefer one years experience providing custodial and maintenance services.
Other:
Valid driver's license and insurability.
Basic computer skills required.
Must have the ability to travel to outlying areas as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and operate various custodial and maintenance equipment.
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, push shovels, stand on ladders, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed indoors and outside, and approximately 25% of duties are done outdoors.
