We are searching for a dynamic individual to become the LEAD RESIDENTIAL AIDE for the unit. This position is integral not just to our team but also to the entire organization, involving participation as a team member of the assigned unit and assisting counseling staff in providing a variety of alcoholand drug-related services by performing the following duties. This position is for the graveyard shift (12m to 8:00 am).
All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening,
which includes testing for marijuana, as well as background checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Will be the primary point of contact for the OTJ training of new Residential Aide staff.
- Assists in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.
- Transports patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, etc.
- Maintains security of assigned unit following CTP policy and procedure.
- Responsible for immediately reporting child abuse or neglect to the unit supervisor and area director when applicable.
- Monitors patients and their activities. Accurately documents activities of each patient during assigned shift.
- Responsible for reporting all patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.
- Serves as liaison between shift Residential Aides and unit supervisor.
- Operation oversight of random urinalysis testing of patients in programs.
- Ensuring UA results are documented in EHR and sent to the lab for chemical testing as indicated.
- Operational oversight of patient appointments and transportation needs on each shift.
- Ensuring shift reports are passed verbally and by email to the incoming shift.
- Ensuring patient medications are entered in EHR.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Requires High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn the dynamics of substance abuse and its effects. Prior experience working in a substance misuse setting or human service agency is preferred.
Other:
Able to communicate effectively. Must be able to follow directions.
CPR and First-Aid certification (initial training and renewals paid for by agency).
Valid driver's license and insurability.
Basic computer skills required.
