What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Crossroads Veterinary Hospital?
We are a 2 doctor small animal practice. We are looking for 2 full time technicians or cross trained receptionist for our growing practice. Our free-standing facility is located just south of Highway 40 at the Winghaven exit. We offer cold laser therapy, digital radiography, and IDEXX in -house laboratory. We also have a small animal only mobile practice in conjunction with the free standing clinic. The ideal candidates for this position must strive for excellent patient care on a daily basis. Veterinary assistant and Veterinary technician pay is based on level of experience.
Our veterinary hospital is very family oriented with both our staff and our clients. We develop relationships with our clients and patients. Our appointments are 30 minutes which allows us to do thorough exams and client communication.
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills a must
- Continuing education is available for all team members
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Knowledge of Avimark veterinary software is a plus, but not mandatory
- Technical skills, i.e. placement of IV catheters, lab work, anesthesia monitoring, digital radiology, administer medications, nursing care of hospitalized patients
- Keeping all areas of the hospital clean and presentable
- Self assured team member
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
