Administrative Assistant

Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its location in Cleveland County. Under the general supervision of the Head Start/ Early Head Start Director, the Administrative Assistant performs varied administrative duties requiring independent judgment and application of Head Start Performance Standards.

Education Experience License and Knowledge


Education/Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED;
  • Associates degree or business college degree preferred;
  • Minimum two (2) years of successful experience in an office setting.

License:

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain acceptable liability insurance

Knowledge:

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with proven ability to address challenges and work with a results-orientated team. Must be comfortable working in a project driven environment. Individuals must be able to clearly identify objectives and meet end goals. Ability to balance long-range vision with an appropriate attention to detail.
  • Must be able to understand and explain technical topics such as PC performance, backup, and security issues.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple activities.
  • Experience with data management systems, basic computer software programs and willingness to attend targeted computer classes as needed.
  • Interest in working in an early childhood education program environment.
  • Knowledge of an ability to comply with Head Start Performance Standards.

The position may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Additionally, the position requires lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs.
