Field Engineer – On-Site
Location : Blue Springs, MS
Duration : 12 months (potential for extension)
Schedule : Standard hours 20% overtime (weekdays, weekends, shutdowns, holidays, odd hours)
Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Travel : 5% (domestic, between local plant and Blue Springs site)

What You’ll Do
Lead the charge in electrical and mechanical system startups & commissioning
Be the expert —review engineering designs, contractor RFIs, and technical specs
Keep it safe —enforce OSHA safety practices, including Lock-Out / Tag-Out and arc flash protocols
Build with precision —work alongside contractors and vendors to test, install, and hand over critical equipment
Stay ahead —conduct site inspections and ensure top-tier quality standards
Own the schedule —coordinate plant shutdowns, weekend work, and seamless project execution
Report and refine —track project progress and provide feedback to improve standards
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Deep knowledge of building codes & industry standards (IBC, NEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.)
Safety-first mindset with expertise in mechanical / electrical installations
Sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Exceptional communication to keep teams aligned and projects on track
Bonus Points If You Have…
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems
