Are you a dimensional accuracy pro with hands-on experience using FARO arms and calibration tools? We’re looking for a highly skilled technician to ensure precision in automotive manufacturing across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. If you’re a problem solver with a deep understanding of body weld quality and metrology, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do
✅ Perform precision measurements using FARO arms, laser trackers, and other CMM tools
✅ Confirm and calibrate body weld jigs, tools, pallets, and parts for quality targets
✅ Analyze dimensional data with 3D Magic, PolyWorks, and other DE tools
✅ Troubleshoot new tooling & equipment at vendors and manufacturing plants
✅ Document & report findings to improve accuracy and efficiency
✅ Work closely with engineering teams to solve quality issues
✅ Travel up to 75% across North America (Canada, Mexico, occasional Japan trips)
Must-Have Qualifications
✔️ 1 year of hands-on experience in Automotive Body Dimensional Quality
✔️ Strong skills with FARO arms, Leica laser trackers, and calibration tools
✔️ Ability to interpret part, jig, and machine drawings for high-precision work
✔️ Experience with CMM tools and other automated measurement equipment
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
✔️ Valid passport (for international plant support)
🎯 Preferred (But Not Required)
🔹 3 years of experience in automotive body quality
🔹 Associate’s Degree (or higher) in a technical field
🔹 Expertise in Catia, AutoCAD, or other digital engineering tools
🔹 Experience mentoring/training teams
🔹 Basic robot teaching knowledge
