What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ark Encounter Small Mammals Seasonal position at Crosswater Canyon Inc?
The Ararat Ridge Zoo at the Ark Encounter exists to be a world-class zoo providing guests with experiences and education that inspire a biblical understanding of creation, highlight the purpose of God's design, and promote stewardship of creation. The seasonal small mammal zookeeper contributes to a positive experience for zoo guests. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about serving others, the seasonal small mammal keeper will be assigned to monitor contact areas in the zoo ensuring safety and assisting guests. The candidate will also assist with general animal husbandry in the section including cleaning and diet preparation.

Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
- Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Must be friendly and courteous to guests.
- Staff contact areas throughout the zoo, providing excellent customer service to guests.
- Assist section in animal husbandry tasks including:
- Cleaning animal habitats
- Diet preparation under the guidance of section keepers
- Assisting with environmental enrichment under the supervision of section keepers
- Ensure the safety and care of the animals as well as the guests or other employees.
- And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
Education & Experience
- Must have a minimum of one year of work in an animal care environment and/or pursuing associate or bachelors degree in zoology or related field.
