Description
The Assistant Clinical Director position supports the Clinical Director by providing strategic leadership and effective supervision of the Emergency Services Department, and developing and maintaining successful relationships with clients, staff, and service provider partners.
Essential Functions

- Provides clinical leadership for the Emergency Services Department by directing and overseeing clinical processes of client treatment such as clinical assessments, diagnoses, clinical interventions, treatment planning, utilization review, and appropriate client treatment discharges. Serves as a resource to other clinical leaders within the agency for professional consultation on the treatment of clients.
- Maintains Emergency Services Department policies and procedures.
- Attends various local and state meetings as an agency representative and develops successful relationships with these committees and agencies. Conducts formal and informal presentations to the community when needed.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with community partners.
- Promotes the positive reputation of CrossWinds to the community and state.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of all client services, as defined by state licensing agencies, funding agencies, and CrossWinds standards and requirements.
- Attends monthly QMHP meetings and biweekly Service Manager meetings.
- Leads Emergency Services team meetings.
- Maintains a small caseload of 20 clients or less.

Qualifications
Skills & Abilities
Education |
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology, social work, or counseling is required. |
Experience |
Ten years’ experience in the mental health services field, with a minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role is required. |
Certifications & Licenses |
Licensure as a master level clinician with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board is required. LSCSW or LP licensure is preferred. |
Computer Skills |
Computer experience in Microsoft Office programs and basic computer fluency. |
Additional Qualifications |
Ability to successfully lead and direct a service department and its resources in an effort to support the agency mission; ability to work with persons with serious emotional disturbance and/or severe and persistent mental illness; possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations. |
