Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. in Hewitt, TX is hiring for a Production Assistant to support machine operators and ensure smooth, efficient production processes. This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Teamwork is essential, as you will work closely with operators and other team members to maintain a safe and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Operators with setting up and operating various production machines, including slitters, roll formers, and unwind stations.
- Serve as a backup Operator when needed, ensuring workflow continuity.
- Operate and maintain forklifts and other production equipment.
- Conduct in-progress and post-production inspections to ensure quality control.
- Follow precise job specifications and adhere to all safety and quality assurance standards.
- Complete necessary production documentation accurately and on time.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate reliability and flexibility to work up to 60 hours per week when necessary.
- Lift and handle materials weighing 50-75 lbs as part of daily duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least six months of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Work Environment:
- Climate-controlled facility with frequent involvement in the manufacturing area.
- Requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and kneeling throughout the shift.
- Some lifting of moderately heavy materials is required.
