Crouse’s Breast Center team is hiring a Breast Patient Nurse Navigator-RN to provide treatment associated with Breast Health Services.
Pay Range: $37,500 - $42,500/ annually (based on 20 hour/week schedule. Salary determined by verified education and experience)
RNs are eligible for up to a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Available Schedule: Part Time-20 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities:
- Consistently ensures timely access and seamless coordination of services for breast center patients throughout the continuum of care.
- Properly assesses patients and families for any barriers that may prevent successful completion of breast evaluation or biopsies.
- Proactively tracks biopsy results and notifies the patient in a professional and timely manner.
- Professionally provides education regarding breast self-examination.
- Efficiently contacts patients that require additional imaging and provides empathetic support and reassurance, as needed.
- Actively participates in post care and follow up of patients to ensure the patient has an effective understanding of biopsy procedures.
- Effectively serves as liaison between breast imaging team, medical and surgical team.
- Consistently shares knowledge with patient of available internal and external support systems.
- Professionally directs activities and participates in Mammography/Pathology Tumor Board conferences.
Breast Patient Nurse Navigator-RN Position Requirements:
- Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
- For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.
- Five (5) years or more of related nursing experience within a Breast Care Program, Medical/Radiation Oncology, or Surgical Services setting
- Certifications as a Certified Clinical Breast Examiner through MammaCare and National Consortium of Breast Centers National (CBPN-IC) certification within 1 year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
