Job Description:
The CNC Programmerreports to the Engineering Manager. This position is responsible for writing programs for CNC machine operations.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Read & interpret technical drawings.
Working knowledge of CNC machines.
Design and build forging fixtures, dies, and jigs in CAD / CAM.
Use computer software to create models and tooling cutting paths.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems with CNC machine operations.
Assist Engineering Manager with management of Machine Shop operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a United States person.
High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
- Associate’s degree or trade school certifications are desired but not required.
Solid experience with Microsoft and ERP applications.
1 – 3 years of experience with CAD / CAM.
1 – 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Ability to perform inspections involving basic calculations using handheld measuring tools.
Performance Traits:
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and closely follow directions.
A working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions).
Available to work weekends and overtime as may be required.
Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds for short periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
