Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Diesel Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for the trucking industry. You will work closely with our team to ensure that every truck leaving our shop is in top working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmission systems, brake systems, and other truck-related components.
- Perform regular maintenance on diesel trucks including oil changes and other routine services.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues and provide accurate solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner and according to company standards.
- Communicate with foreman about repair needs and service updates.
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in diesel mechanics or related field is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Diesel Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and truck components.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus but not required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality service.
