Position Overview:
As a Mobile Diesel Technician at Crows Truck Center, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and related systems in a variety of trucks and heavy equipment. You’ll work in the field, providing service directly at our customers’ locations, ensuring that their vehicles are up and running efficiently with minimal downtime. You will represent Crows Truck Center on-site, providing outstanding service while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mobile diesel repairs and preventative maintenance on-site at customer locations.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, brake systems, air systems, and more.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to identify issues and make necessary repairs.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and service delivery.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and tools necessary for repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and document repairs in compliance with company standards.
- Work in adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in diesel mechanics is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrains.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to travel and be on-call as needed.
