Job Responsibilities
">A Construction Formwork Specialist at Crowder Constructors Inc is responsible for building and setting forms to pour concrete. This role involves selecting specified types of lumber or other materials, preparing layouts using measuring tools, and marking cutting and assembly lines on materials. The specialist must also shape materials to precise measurements, assemble cut and shaped materials, and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue.
The primary function of a Form Carpenter involves constructing forms and chutes for pouring concrete. Typical duties include selecting materials, preparing designs, and shaping materials to prescribed measurements. Additionally, the carpenter must assemble forms and chutes, erect scaffolding and ladders, and saw lumber to blueprint dimensions.
Requirements and Qualifications
">To be successful as a Construction Formwork Specialist, you must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy construction, specifically with knowledge of Symons and gang form systems. You should also be able to work within precise standards of accuracy, compare and see differences in size, shape, and forms of lines, figures, and objects, and follow policies and procedures.
You will need basic carpenter tools, such as saws, chisels, and planes, and be proficient in rigging and flagging cranes. Most importantly, you must be safety-minded and adhere to all safety policies. As a team player, you will be required to complete additional duties as directed by your supervisor.
