Primary Purpose: This position will serve in the role of coordinating and guiding recruiting education for the entire athletic program, while also overseeing correspondence with THSCA Straight Line Recruiting. This includes visiting with potential recruiters to assigned high school, advising the student athletes in all areas involving recruiting, college readiness, camp visitations and official visits. This position will distribute information to all campus head coaches for dispersal to student athletes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Knowledge of NCAA Rules - This position shall have a strong working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
• Recruiting - The ability to compare and organize prospects into priority lists. Maintain correspondence with a large number of prospects: e-mail, letters, phone.
• Communication Skills - This position is expected to have a high level of communication skills and the ability to work well with many people.
• Computer skills – This position is expected to have computer literacy.
• Certification - Candidate must have a valid state teaching certificate
• Calendar Construction – This position will supply the athletic programs with a calendar of testing dates, deadlines for testing registration, early enrollment periods, and various other items vital to the college entrance timeline.

• Ten (10) years’ experience or equivalent revelant experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide guidance for all athletic programs with highlight construction.
• Regular communication with student athletes and understanding of NCAA and University Admissions rules and regulations, while scheduling and coordinating weekly briefing sessions with head coach and relevant staff.
• Calculate Core 16 GPA for recruiting and advise student athletes of college readiness as corresponds to NCAA sliding scale.
• Maintain recruiting software, monitor the various recruiting services, analyze national recruiting trends and research/review each area.
• Oversee and advise the NLI signing day process for all athletes.
• Evaluate student athlete needs, direct and report offers/updates on player recruiting status to the Head Coach, as requested.
• Share NCAA updates with all head coaches as released from the NCAA Eligibility Center.
• Coordinate the National Letter of Intent Signing Day Ceremony.
• Inform student athletes and head coaches of testing dates, registration deadlines, and access standardized test scores for dispersal.
• Direct recruiting seminar for all student athletes at the assigned high school and direct feeder pattern.
• Advise head coaches on constructing of prospect sheets for each respective sport. Manage prospect sheet with hudl links and vital statistics as requested by the various recruiters from the higher learning entities.
• Monitor social media account and forward NCAA Eligibility Center updates for all student athletes.
• Correspond with local armed forces representatives for potential armed forces enlistments.
• Coordinate and publish recruiting period calendar for student athletes’ awareness and compliance guidance.
• Manage and maintain current contact list of college, armed forces recruiters.
• Advise all students on the branches of armed forces and maintain contact with local armed forces recruiters.
