SUMMARY: Responsible for working directly with employees and vendors to provide full-service travel coordination which includes air, car hotel, rail, and bus arraignment. Identifies service gaps and resolves employee concerns.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and consult best options for air, car and hotel arrangements for travelers while following the standards and policies of the company. Interacts with vendors to secure travel reservations and investigate issues. Advise travelers of required up to date documentation requirements. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed. Access resources to analyze routings, fares, and discounts to achieve the most economical travel option. Resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner. Identify opportunities to review operational processes and provide suggestions for improvement. Resolve service requests received by the department via emails and phone calls, ensuring to deliver excellent customer service.
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree with technical training in business or a related; or a combination of post high school education, with related course work after high school and job-related training.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years of related experience in a corporate travel environment. Experience with Mariner travel is a plus. Additional travel experience or airline background preferred.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: 5 years of Sabre GDS experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word; automated travel management systems, such as Concur.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to demonstrate effective customer services skills. Ability to function effectively with, or as a part of a team. Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to listen and record accurate information. Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and etiquette. Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.
OTHER: Bi-lingual capability (English/Spanish) preferred. Work hours are 2 p.m. – 10 p.m./3p.m. – 11 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday.
