Experienced Rigger
Summary: Accountable for the thorough inspection, monitoring, maintenance, operation, and safe relocation of machinery and heavy equipment, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and client specifications. Demonstrates unwavering commitment to safety by proactively leading safety initiatives, conducting comprehensive Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and driving behavioral-based safety observations to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety excellence.

Physical Requirements /Working Conditions/Work Environment : Works both inside and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to g et into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. Meet the OEUK physical standard.
Other: Must be able to work in a drug free workplace; never under the influence of mind-altering prescriptions or non-prescription drugs, including alcohol, and other drugs of abuse.

Experienced Rigger

Essential Functions:
- Set up, inspect, and repair rigging, hoists, pulling gear, and supporting structures to ensure safe and efficient load movement.
- Properly attach, secure, and maneuver material loads while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Inspect, clean, dismantle, and reassemble machinery, including monitoring wire cables, mooring fixtures, blocks, and pulleys for wear and integrity.
- Utilize hand signals and other communication methods to coordinate load movements with team members, ensuring safe and precise operations.
- Work closely with welders, fitters, and equipment operators, identifying and resolving rigging challenges in real-time to maintain efficiency and safety.
- Conduct inspections and testing of equipment to verify safe operating conditions and machinery reliability before use.
- Proficient in setting up, repairing, and maintaining rigging, hoists, pulling gear, and supporting structures using hand or power tools.
- Skilled in attaching and securing material loads to rigging for safe and efficient movement.
- Knowledgeable in using hand signals to coordinate with team members when moving and hoisting heavy loads.
- Perform thorough cleaning, dismantling, reassembly, and maintenance of machinery.
- Properly Securing Loads – Connecting lifting slings, chains, and shackles to heavy equipment and platform/vessel components.
- Continuously monitor wire cables, mooring fixtures, blocks, and pulleys for wear and proper function.
- Collaborate effectively with welders, fitters, and equipment operators, providing assistance as needed.
- Capable of identifying and addressing rigging challenges in real-time to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Assist in offshore construction, drilling, or decommissioning projects as required.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and assist in offshore safety drills.
- Following Offshore Safety Procedures – Adhering to safety standards, including working at heights and handling heavy loads.

- High School Diploma or equivalent [G.E.D.] or higher
- Required – 2 years of verifiable related rigging experience
- Beneficial – Mechanical, Floorhand/Roustabout and or Offshore (Drilling/Construction/Production/Decommissioning) experience

- Competitive Day Rate
- Typical working rotation is 4 weeks offshore and 4 weeks at home, variable based on projects.
