Offshore Technician
Summary: Responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring a variety of field equipment under the guidance of the supervisor. The role involves assisting with the rigging, setup and deployment of tools, , and abrasive bags, following established procedures. Additionally, the position requires monitoring equipment performance, including checking and maintaining fuel levels to ensure optimal operation in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements /Working Conditions/Work Environment : Works both inside and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to g et into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. Meet the OEUK physical standard.
Other: Must be able to work in a drug free workplace; never under the influence of mind-altering prescriptions or non-prescription drugs, including alcohol, and other drugs of abuse.

Offshore Technician

Additionally, the position requires monitoring equipment performance, including checking and maintaining fuel levels to ensure optimal operation in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
Essential Functions:
- Operate and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality, including water pumps, high-pressure pumps, winch hoists, and hose spoolers, as directed by the supervisor.
- Support field operations by assisting with equipment rigging, setup, and deployment, including tools, umbilical, and abrasive bag loading, in accordance with procedures.
- Monitor and maintain equipment performance, including checking fuel levels and ensuring optimal operation for equipment in service.
- Assist with routine maintenance and safety compliance, support the maintenance team as needed and ensuring work areas are clean and organized according to safety regulations.
- Monitor fuel levels on equipment when in service to ensure levels are maintained at optimal levels for efficient equipment operation.
- Assist with the preparation, rigging, and taping of equipment, including tools and umbilical cables, according to instructions.
- Support maintenance efforts as needed and approved by the supervisor.
- Monitor and adjust water pump systems as directed.
- Load the required number of abrasive bags into the mixing unit as directed.
- Operate the winch hoist on the deployment frame to assist with equipment deployment and retrieval.
- As approved by the supervisor, operate and monitor high-pressure pumps and assist in the safe setup and operation of hose spoolers to ensure optimal performance during field operations.
- Adhere to company safety policies by properly using designated PPE at all times.
- Attend and engage in daily safety meetings and shift handovers, in a timely fashion.
- Assist in keeping workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

- IADC Rig Pass or Safe Gulf
- First Aid/CPR
- Qualified Rigger
- Fall Protection
- Air Monitoring/Gas Detectors
- Incipient Fire

- High School Diploma or equivalent [G.E.D.] or higher preferred
- Good mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Equipment-oriented and understands the basic mechanics of pumping systems.
- Familiar with using hand tools and power equipment.
- Skilled in heavy equipment/machinery operation.
- Ability to set up, repair, and move equipment and materials.
- Demonstrates ability to signal (verbally and nonverbally) others engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure worker and material safety.
- Experience in taking directions and successfully acting upon instructions given by a supervisor.
- Competitive Day Rate
- Typical working rotation up to 8 weeks but varies based on client and project.
