Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- USCG MMC
- Basic Training
- VPSDSD
- QMED Junior Engineer, QMED Senior Engineer, or QMED with Any Rating limitation
- Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch (RFPEW)
- STCW without limitation
- Valid TWIC
- Valid Passport
- Valid USCG Medical Certificate (STCW date valid)
- SIU member or must be willing to join
ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE VALID FOR THE DURATION OF THE HITCH
Additional MSC training may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Security Clearance
- Government Training
- Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense (CBRD)
- Shipboard Damage Control (DC)
- MSC Environmental Protection (MEP)
- Helicopter Fire Fighting (HELO FF)
