Position Summary :
The IT Administrator supports our IT infrastructure, ensuring security, efficiency, and reliability. This role involves overseeing high-level IT tasks, defining processes, providing direction to our Managed Service Provider (MSP), leading IT projects, and conducting audits and investigations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Workspace Productivity Management : Administer key productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Zoom Enterprise across the organization. Evaluate and advise staff on best practices for organizing and sharing data among individuals and teams. Provide basic training to end-users when necessary to ensure efficient use of these tools.
- Network and Infrastructure Management : Administer the working environment for both our centralized office and remote employees. This includes configuring and maintaining network devices, ensuring network security through proactive monitoring, and implementing and administering modern SASE framework capabilities such as ZTNA, SGW, and CASB. Collaborate with relevant teams on disaster recovery planning and review established backup procedures.
- Telephony Management : Implement and administer telephony systems for both phone users and more advanced call-center configurations.
- Vendor and MSP Coordination : Define and document processes for the MSP, act as the primary contact, and ensure service alignment with organizational goals.
- IT Security and Compliance : Develop and enforce IT security policies. Conduct regular audits, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage user accounts and access rights. Ensure cloud security best practices and identity management solutions (IAM, MFA) are in place.
- End-User Support : Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Audit and enforce compliance and security standards. Train staff on IT policies when required.
- Project Management and Process Improvement : Lead IT projects, coordinating with stakeholders to understand the intent and offer technical considerations. Define, improve, document, and train all IT processes within the company. Manage various payment vehicles for SaaS vendors, track cost expenditures, and monitor invoices. Document any cost increases or savings resulting from enhancements and optimizations to provide transparency and inform future decisions.
- Automation and Scripting : Utilize automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to improve operational efficiency.
