Custodian/Maintenance Helper-Part Time

Crown American Associates is currently hiring a Part Time Custodian/Maintenance Helper.

The Custodian/Maintenance Helper will perform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasks such as, but not limited to, clearing snow, moving furniture, scrubbing carpets, replacing light bulbs, painting, using ladders, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, washing walls and ceilings, dusting and polishing light fixtures, and waxing and polishing floors using industrial cleaners, scrubbing and buffing machines.

Basic Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Physical Requirements)

Education/Training:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• May be asked to hold current and valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Must hold current and valid driver’s license free from major violations.
• Must successfully pass all relevant/required background screenings which may include, but not limited to, credit, criminal, driving, and drug screening.

Experience:

• 1 year previous experience in a janitorial related position is recommended.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have the ability to communicate in English; must be able to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
• Must have efficient time management skills the ability to prioritize demands, pay attention to detail and promote an organized, efficient environment.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Physical demands include the ability to see (clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, possess three-dimensional vision, and be able to identify and distinguish colors), sit, talk (ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word), hear (ability to perceive the nature of sounds), stand for long periods of time, walk, handle, feel reach, bend, stoop, climb, and lift, carry, push or pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.
• Must successfully pass all relevant/required background screenings.
• Must be able to work overtime if/when needed and as approved by management.
