JOB TITLE: IND Cell Dropping DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing
JOB SUMMARY: The Industrial Cell Dropping position is responsible for rinsing/drying tops of the cells before dropping battery cells onto skids or in the correct trays. The Industrial Cell Dropper ensures the parts being produced meet specification and quality characteristics.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Is responsible for:
- Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
- Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
- Responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping of the surrounding production floor area and machines.
- Responsible for rinsing off and drying the cells after leaving Industrial Forming to neutralize the acid remains.
- Break all the temporary connections on the skip with pliers and move connection scraps to appropriate recycling pad.
- Use hoist and drop cells into tray following the layout diagram or onto the skid following the correct documentation.
- Responsible for removing acid out of the cells while dropping so they will fit properly into the tray (batteries) or built skid (cell orders).
- Responsible for removing any residue on top of the cells.
- Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience with safety and environmental training
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast paced setting
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to use some hand tools
- Ability to follow circuit layouts
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
