JOB TITLE: IND COS Inspector DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing
JOB SUMMARY: The IND COS Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all produced parts meet specification and quality standards. This position is responsible for inspecting the cells after the COS operator has competed their portion of the process. The IND COS Inspector will then be responsible for placing the EP and Cover on the cell.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:

Is responsible for:
- Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions.
- Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
- Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
- Proper housekeeping of the work area.
- Inspects cells coming out of the COS for defects.
- Place date stamp on the inside of the cell.
- Install EP and cover, send product to the heat seal.
- Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience with safety and environmental training
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to use some hand tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving, prior battery assembly experience preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
